Week 8- Exercise 1 - Analogical thinking
What is analogical thinking all about?
Analogical reasoning is any type of thinking that relies upon an analogy. An analogical argument is an explicit representation of a form of analogical reasoning that cites accepted similarities between two systems to support the conclusion that some further similarity exists.
We need to do some brainstorming and put on our thinking caps whenever we want to do something. In art, we need to think logically and analogically. Many experts and artist uses analogical thinking in their works. I found some items that makes use of this form, analogical thinking.
Here are the photos of the items I took a shot of.
this is a calendar made up of Lego blocks. It is a really versatile and handy item because it can be either used as a decorative item or as a calendar itself. This toy calendar is good because the dates can be easily changed and adjust accordingly when needed. It saves paper instead too as the normal calendar is made of paper and the paper calendar needs to be changed every year while this type of calendar can be used for a really long time as it is so convenient.
The picture of the Lego calendar after being dismantled. it is really a analogical object that is created. I think the person that thought of this as an idea is a pure genius as it is really very good and useful.
The other time I have is this portable charger. This is one thing that many of us can't live without. This is like a practically one indispensable item that is a must-have. Being a charger itself, this portable charger allows you to charge two phones at a time which is quite time saving and the battery of this portable charger does not run out very fast. It can be used for several days straight. This is a really good invention because we can easily charge our phones any time no matter what.
